Part-time coach needed in Santa Cruz!

CrossFit UP in Santa Cruz, CA is in search of a part-time Level 1-certified CrossFit instructor.

The facility opened in November 2013 alongside DeWitt Physical Therapy. Our programming model from warm-up to workout is heavily influenced with a strong mechanics and correctives emphasis. We utilize the FMS to asses all of our clients for functional deficiencies and asymmetries so that we can correct rather than exacerbate those issues from the beginning. All correctives for joint stability and mobility are not only included in the member's FMS packet but are also programmed into the warm-up which changes daily and is based on the exercises in the workout of the day. In addition to including physical therapy-based correctives we also stress injury prevention and mechanics first, consistency second and intensity third.

As a candidate we ask that you possess:
Current CrossFit L1 certificate (w/additional speciality certifications preferred)
Minimum 1 year of CrossFit coaching experience
Thorough understanding of CrossFit methodology and movement scaling
Possess or working toward Bachelor's of Science Degree (human sciences preferred)
Excellent communication skills
Willingness and ability to learn

We are looking for a coach to cover 3-5 hours/week initially with the strong possibility of more hours in the future. Current hours that are in need of coverage are 8 am Tuesdays and 9 am Monday/Wednesday/Friday.

An established gym in Qatar is seeking an experienced coach to run one of their venues:

Requirements:
- Level 2 (ideally but highly experienced L1 also considered)
- Other non-crossfit certifcations (ideally L3 Personal trainer)
- Pro-active and entrepreneurial - will be expected to build community and grow membership in relatively new venue
- competitive athlete - should be very competent and all movements and a strong athlete

Job description:

- To be head coach at a new location of existing CrossFit gym.
- Coaching role will be afternoons only except for 1 or 2 weekend classes
- Remuneraton will comprise salary, car, accommodation allowance and commission
- Personal training income will supplement salary
- responsible for growing membership with social media and any other inititaives. large local catchment of affluent people just need to be made aware
- responsible for building community through events and social media etc in new location to rival very successful community in the existing venues

Did I miss the boat with Pendlay???

Okay, so maybe this is old news, but apparently Muscle Driver/Pendlay went BANKRUPT!?!?

I guess I haven't been on their website since the beginning of the year, and just today I find out that all of their products are no longer available.

All of my bumper plates and 2 of my 4 barbells are Pendlay brand. I guess I never considered, when buying the barbells, that a "lifetime warranty" is only as good as the company that provides that warranty.

Sorry, just had to vent. Kinda upset right now... :mad:
