? re Rogue Echo bike..pedal backwards?
mercredi 21 novembre 2018
Hello, thank you in advance for any input.
I am upgrading my old school airdyne for either the new Schwinn AD Pro or the Rogue Echo.
Does anyone know if you can pedal backwards on the Echo? If yes, does the monitor show output/calories/ etc?
On the AD Pro, you get the same resistance and readings when you pedal backwards or forwards. But I do not have access to an Echo to test it out.
Thanks again and happy holidays!

Pre diabetic NOT overweight and v active
dimanche 4 novembre 2018
Hi, I have looked for this but not found anything....My fasting blood glucose measures at pre diabetic levels most mornings (between 5.6 and 7.1) but not every morning - lowest it has measured is 4.9. I own a CrossFit gym, I train between 3 and 6 times a week, CrossFit workouts. I eat pretty well although over the last year or so I have slipped a bit and don't deny myself the odd cake, pastry or bar of chocolate. I don't drink alcohol ever. I am 5'5'' and weight 60kg. You can see my abs - I'm not boasting hahaha just pointing out that my body fat is low enough to see them. I have a doctor's apt for next week but just wondered if this was perhaps a common thing with CrossFitters.....My doc does NOT understand anything about CrossFit, indeed he is hugely overweight. Last time I went to see him saying everything I ate made me feel exhausted and dizzy, he told me to eat a banana....so I'm not holding out much hope for an explanation that fits.

Death by 10m - what's the world record?
samedi 27 octobre 2018
One of my favourite workouts since it's self-modulating, mostly includes the warmup, doesn't take any equipment except a watch, and hits most CFers right where it hurts since they don't like to run.
But what's the world record? What's even a really good score? The best I've ever managed was 15 iirc, and the most I ever saw was a senior person at Invictus who I think did something outrageous like 20-22 rounds, but that was 9-10 years ago and probably poorly measured.
Help?

Drop in Etiquette

I'm posting here since it seems like the most logical place. I'm happy to cross-post if it makes sense and is possible.
First of all, I'm a member, not a box owner. Keep that in mind when as I call attention to this.
When travelling we should assume that there is a drop-in fee. I have noticed in our box drop-ins who either assume or expect that there is no fee. I've seen them ask "is there a fee?" and occasionally, even when told, I've seen folks skip out on paying. Really?
I've dropped into a box once or twice and have never assumed that I could work out for free. I've either paid for the session, or where the box allows it, purchased a t-shirt. We all know what the monthly costs are for a member, why would we assume we would be exempt from a fee just because we're tourists.
What is particularly galling to me is that the majority of the culprits are fellow Americans. Come on guys! For better or for worse we're all tarred by the same brush outside the US (I live in Switzerland). Assuming a free service is bad enough (it's rude) skipping on the bill is criminal.
Happy to hear other views on this.
