I am having a problem with cleans/power cleans, specifically the hip snap to catch. The problem I am having is that with traditional clean bar hold with the bar when I am standing as straight up as I can even with my shoulders shrugged as high as I can still lands mid thigh (this is thanks to abnormally long arms with a short torso), therefore the hip snap does little to nothing to get the bar in an upward trajectory. I end up having to do a shrug to high pull in order to get the bar up into the appropriate place to catch it. As such it is hard to do much of anything over #95 at my current fitness level. Does anyone have any suggestions how to make a hip snap work for this particular handicap? Thank you in advance.
